Hi Everyone! Tournament this Saturday!!! Thank you to PS/MS 266 in Queens for hosting Public Forum Debate and thank you to WHEELS for hosting Parliamentary and Congressional Debate! We are carefully monitoring weather reports. As always we follow the NYC Department of Education policies - if Saturday programming is cancelled by the Department of Education, then we will cancel the tournament. We will send any updates or changes via Tabroom.com emails so please check. You can also stay up to date on school closings by visiting:
https://www1.nyc.gov/site/severeweather/index.page and https://www.schools.nyc.gov/. But whatever the announcements are, please put safety first for you and your students when arranging travel. We also have another middle school tournament coming up in only a few weeks. However, we do please ask to always make any updates and changes on Tabroom.com as soon as you can. Precious time is wasted on Saturday mornings for changes that could have been made during the week!!!!!!!! Especially as tournaments grow in size - the more changes, means the more time is wasted the morning of and the tournament is delayed.
Also reminder for teachers we have our Winter Debate Con coming up! Full day of workshops, breakfast, lunch, happy hour, debate networking and more. Theme for this Debate Con is on student-led debate programs. How you can empower your students to lead practices, coach your younger debaters, help you administer the team, recruit other debaters - take all the work off your hands! Sign up here!
